BioGenRank
Ranking Genes associated with a particular disease based on research and usefulness and associated data mining

There are 31483 human genes identified in the human genome project (as of June 2007). Researches have revealed association of these genes with diseases and information about such relationships are scattered among millions of published literature and research articles as well as various public domain databases. Associate these with multiple gene names for the same gene is another challenge. BioGenRank is a knowledge management tool to browse, extract genotypic and phenotypic information from the public domain databases as well as published literature and arrange this information on a user friendly platform. Information can be stored locally for further analysis. It uses statistical tools for geometrical progression and multivariate linear regression to calculate frequency and score.
